Overview
Good hands on DBA experience Oracle v7.x, v8.0, v8.i and v9.0i, 10g, 11gR2 and MySql database on Sun Solaris, HP-UX, AIX, Linux and other Operating Systems
Experience in installing, monitoring, tuning, managing and testing of database applications using Oracle 7.x, 8, 8i, 9i, 10g and 11 and MySql databases.
Experience Cluster environment, backup, recovery and performance tuning in Oracle and MySql env
Experience in database upgrades
Considerable experience with SQL, PL/SQL, Import, Export, SQL*Loader and UNIX shell programming.
Install, Administer Informatica, Data integrator for data warehouse databases , OP5, Lifecluster etc is good to have
Key experience in proactive space, segment management, tuning process including sql statements using Explain plan, TKPROF, SQL Analyze

Responsibilities
Ability to plan and lead projects and mentor the team.
Creating DBA manuals and system maintenance procedures.
Need to closely work with Oracle support and internal clients like Hub establishment team, Data migration team, HP Support, unix and storage admin team and different timezones.
24 x 7 support is needed.
Experience
6-8 YRS OF EXPERIENCE IS DESIRED
Skills
Strong Oracle, MySQL experience required
Strong UNIX experience a plus
Inter personnel skills, good communications are very important for this position.
Education
Bachelors or relevant experience
