DIRECTOR OF SALES (EMR software sales)

The Director of Sales is responsible for the overall Sales performance at WebPT. We are looking for a creative entrepreneurial leader who combines hands-on experience with all Sales functions, and managerial talent to devise strategy and effectively handle complex Sales issues. Ideally, you will have worked in a fast-paced, high growth technology firm, preferably in the healthcare industry.

If you can easily go from a tactical role to a strategic position and be able to articulate strategy to executives and other stakeholders, you will be an excellent fit in our fast growing environment.
In this role, you will:
Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for each sales segment
Project expected sales volume and profit for new products
Manage all sales activities and all personnel involved in Sales for the company
Provide leadership to the day-to-day operations of the sales department, while maintaining focus on the company’s strategic goals.
Analyze sales statistics and metrics to assess Sales department performance and take corrective action as necessary
Establish performance goals for all sales department employees, and monitor performance on a continual basis
Generate performance and exception reporting to monitor sales team performance
Oversee all hiring, training, personnel development and termination of personnel involved in Sales
Maintain sales staff performance by monitoring and appraising individual performance, and taking corrective action by counseling, mentoring, training and disciplining sales staff as necessary
Work with the Executive Management Team to develop the Strategic Sales Objectives for the Company
Manage the sales department to achieve objectives established in the Company’s Strategic Plan
Maintain open communication with senior management and stakeholders regarding sales team performance, issues, and strategic plans
Work closely with Marketing to coordinate campaigns, events, promotions, etc.
Coordinate sales operations with all other departments/divisions of the Company
Build long lasting relationships with all customers and prospects of the Company
Seek out and target new customers and new sales opportunities in creative ways
Initiate action plans to approach and secure new business for the Company
Participate in various conferences, trade fairs, and networking events to attract more leads / prospects
Do you have what it takes?
We are seeking an innovative, resourceful, results-oriented leader for this hands-on role. You should demonstrate the ability to dig into details and deal with transactional issues as easily as you discuss vision and strategy.
Requirements include:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a sales management capacity
Software industry and Healthcare experience preferred
Must have experience with managing both inside sales and field sales teams
Proven leadership ability to influence, develop, and empower employees to achieve objectives with a team approach
Outstanding communication and negotiation skills required
Must be self-motivated, and positive
Leadership expectations:
Highly visible professional with superb character, confidentiality, coaching and collaboration skills.
Works on issues where analysis is required, exercises independent judgment.
