We are primarily looking for a full-time DBA working in our Berlin office. However, if you are very experienced and work autonomously, we are also very open to discuss remote and/or part-time work.
Responsibilities
Position Overview
As Database Administrator, you will be the master of data for our server landscape with several terabytes of structured and unstructured databases.
Responsibilities
Daily tasks include the management, monitoring, optimization and backup of several database management systems (mostly MySQL, but also NoSQL and Column-Stores)
Support developers with schema and query design as well as the interruption-free rollout of schema migrations for huge tables
You provide data for import into our data warehouse and assist in its development
Experience
Your Skills and Qualifications
University degree or similar qualification in computer science or a related field
3-10 years of experience with MySQL/Percona administration, including redundancy, replication and partitioning
Working-knowledge of storage technologies (disk and SSD), RAID (hard and soft) and other hardware related topics
Programming skills in a scripting language like Ruby, Python or Perl
No fear of big amounts of data and 24x7 environments
Respect for traditional technologies, curiosity for new ones
Previous work experience in a startup/agile environment is a big plus
Proactive, goal-oriented approach, self-contained and tenacious working style
Sixth sense when it comes to dodging nerf gun darts
