Design/ Front End Co Founder for Daily Deal Startup

at DealVITA in San Francisco, CA   —   Apr 15, 2014   |
Overview
I'm looking for a design oriented co founder with front end programming skills.

We're shifting our site's focus to be content/ consumption oriented (as opposed to B2B telesales oriented as we currently are). This pivot requires an overhaul of design and the addition of new sections to our site. I'm in need of a talented designer and front end programmer (site has jQuery front end fyi) to share the reigns of the company and take us to new heights. As the founder I currently handle the back end (RoR) and business aspects.

It's a promising venture in the daily deal industry with early successes to boot. We've been live for more than 6 months and have raised seed capital. Please take a look at our site or read our company's profile, as we are not a typical daily deal company. We represent a new model in this space.
Responsibilities
Oversight of and strategic decision making regarding design
Rapid production and iteration on front end (jQuery, RoR integration, design integration)
Constant consultation and brainstorming with founder
Freedom and encouragement to assist in other areas of company (broader product development, sales, business development, strategic partnerships, etc.)
Experience
You are a talented designer and front end programmer
You have a cultivated aesthetic in your design and it is reflected in an available portfolio
You've worked in startups before; you're an ambitious self starter
You have worked with jQuery and Ruby on Rails
Compensation
Equity and commissions. Small base is possible but equity preferred.
