Oodle is looking for a desktop support engineer to manage Oodle's internal technologies and provide technical support for software and hardware systems.
Provide desktop assistance and support for standard PC software, hardware, printers, faxes and copiers to local and remote users
Purchasing of new IT hardware -- desktops, laptops, phones, and other equipment
Maintaining internal systems such as mail servers, DNS and DHCP servers, VPN systems, intranet, and the phone system
Keeping virus software protection/definitions, anti-spyware and operating system/software patches up-to-date via automated methodology
Managing the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and development, upgrade and support of all desktop/laptop computers, operating systems, hardware, software, peripherals and office automation equipment
Creating and testing nightly backups of employee data
Providing secondary server administrator to troubleshoot and resolve issues
2 years related work experience
Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems
Advanced knowledge and troubleshooting experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook
Advanced knowledge of desktop, laptop, peripheral (printers/scanners), copiers, faxes and LAN/WAN connectivity and communications
Basic knowledge of networking protocols and hardware such as TCP/IP, VPN, Switches and Routers
Knowledge and experience with Linux
