DevOps Engineer

Vine is seeking a Dev-ops Engineer to join our growing engineering team.

Responsibilities

Be the primary owner and point of contact for Vine production systems
Work closely with engineering groups within Vine and Twitter to design new systems
Write scripts to monitor and automate processes
Troubleshoot issues across the whole stack - hardware, software, applications and network
Document current and future configuration processes and policies
Lead a 24x7 on-call rotation
Qualifications

Experience in operations of a large-scale Internet service
6+ years of experience with Linux/Unix/BSD
Experience with Chef or Puppet (we use Chef)
Demonstrable knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, security, storage, memcache and mysql
Practical knowledge of shell scripting and at least one scripting language (Python, Ruby, Perl)
Track record of practical problem solving, excellent communication, and documentation skills
Desired

Production experience with EC2 and S3 strongly preferred
Experience managing production redis deployments
B.S. in computer science (or comparable)
Active user of Vine and Twitter
