I have a bunch of steps that I need implemented for our sports social network. It is a virtual position for the most part, but we will meet up at the office every once in a while to go review tasks, potential improvements, etc. We are based out of Alley NYC, which is a coworking space on 500 7th Avenue, New York, NY. Email Jason@thesportswonk.com for details.
Implement the new UI and add in the landing page that people who click our ADs will be directed to. Add in social media sign up buttons that allow for members to also share or tweet to their network that they've signed up.
Making our site a, "responsive site," which would make the mobile experience better.
Improve the UX/make sure that every page on the site is fully functional, remove bugs.
Allow for members to choose their favorite teams via their profiles, which will make the site curate content from the member's favorite teams for that member's videos, photos, forums, blogs, etc. pages. (the content will be pulled from the user generated content on the site).
Allow for admins who run a Group or Event to sell products on their group page and/or tickets on their event page. This will be set up similar to Eventbrite because there will be a products or tickets list on the page that visitors can purchase from, but we need to figure out how we can prevent people from posting merchandise or tickets that competes with our tix/merch (we need to brainstorm). It is supposed to be for people who want to sell sports related products that we don’t that are relevant to their page like nutritional supplements, sports cards, etc. and tickets to local sports events, although having products/tickets that compete with ours isn’t out of the ? because we will take a fee for each transaction.
As far as mobile development we will only be creating mobile pages of the personal and community walls, the rest of the pages will remain as is until we are ready to build out the rest of the pages on mobile. The main goal is to make it into an app now so that people can download it to their phones/access the app via their phone desktops instead of having to go to the browser to access the site.
Move out of Boonex into a more scalable infrastructure.
The site is made in boonex.com dolphin software, experience not mandatory, but just letting you know.
$1k/mo as far as time expectation, I am looking for 20 hours per week.
