Overview
Insticator, an early-stage social prediction startup based in NYC, is looking for an intern to join our team as a Front End Software Engineer. As we prepare for launch, the Development Intern will work directly with the CTO to build responsive and elegant web UIs with AJAX/web sockets/HTML5 and similar technologies besides assisting in mobile application development. You will play a key role in helping Insticator build next-generation web & mobile applications.

Responsibilities
Building next-generation web & mobile applications with a focus on the client side.
Redesigning existing UI's, Implement new UI's, and pick up Java/Objective C as necessary
Embedded system and mobile application development, internationalization
Experience
Have Experience designing modular, object-oriented JavaScript
Exposure to JavaScript libraries such as JQuery, ExtJS, Socket.io/SockJS etc.
Skills
Have User Interface design knowledge
Have Expert HTML, JavaScript, and CSS Skills
Coding skills in Python/Java/Objective C, database design and SQL, and/or knowledge of TCP/IP and network programming
Education
Have a solid foundation in Computer Science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design (preferably enrolled in a Bachelor's/Master’s program in technical discipline such as Computer Science)
