iApps is currently expanding it’s development team and seeks an experienced Software Development Manager / Project Manager to join the Bangalore India team.
The position requires a strong demonstrable history of managing development teams and multiple projects. The successful candidate must have the ability to set and achieve project and team goals. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with and to lead focused teams of software developers.
Lead and mentor the development teams in India.
Work with the development team in Australia to set and maintain project schedules.
Determine the optimal team structures for each project.
To interview and hire additional personnel as required.
Build a strong and cohesive team which is outcome focused.
Meet with clients as needed and distilling their ideas into actionable specifications.
Accurately estimate Project and Sprint scope in conjunction with the Australia team.
Identify and suggest opportunities to improve or make modifications to increase software efficiency or functionality.
Develop and implement effective testing models and plans including documenting test results with the team.
Support internal and external clients by providing sound technical advice and support.
Bachelor degree or equivalent qualification in an development or project management role.
Demonstrable technical knowledge of mobile and server technologies.
Demonstrable knowledge of management and project management methodologies such as Agile (Scrum) or Prince 2.
Strong knowledge of software development practices.
Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence a plus.
Previous experience in a business or systems analysis role a plus.
