The Corporate Digital Marketing Department, located in Pleasanton, California, has 2 openings for a Digital Marketing Program Manager.
Responsible for developing, implementing, managing, and optimizing Online Advertising campaigns to influence consumer behavior and deliver against corporate brand and ecommerce revenue goals.
Develop, implement, and optimize online advertising campaigns for corporate brand and ecommerce initiatives:
 Manage process from creative development through campaign completion, including ad tactic selection, messaging and offer strategy
 Track performance relative to targets and refine to optimize results
Recommend and manage full year display media campaign calendar and appropriate marketing tactics
Collaborate with Media, Creative, Account Management and the IM team to define program requirements and goals and ensure comprehensive approach
Manage creative agency in the development of display media creative
Manage vendor relationships for trafficking, tracking, and implementing campaigns
Monitor online advertising technology trends and new potential partners, and recommend pilot programs for testing
Responsible for managing Safeway’s overall Social Media presence. This position leads the planning, management and execution of all Social Media efforts. This includes overseeing the development of strategic plans and approaches to drive consumer engagement and cultivate loyal advocates for the Safeway Brands, Strategic Safeway Initiatives and eCommerce/grocery delivery business. It also includes planning and managing consumer messages, campaign themes, and marketing calendars for social media channels including Facebook, Twitter and the blog.
Develop strategic plans and approaches to drive consumer engagement and cultivate loyal advocates for the Safeway Brands across Social Media communities and environments
Recommend technology/platform specific programs and plans (e.g. Facebook, Twitter)
Develop and oversee the overall Social Media marketing calendar, messages and content
5 to 7 years of brand marketing experience, including a minimum of 4 years in digital, interactive or Ecommerce experience.
Minimum of 3 to 4 years of managing and partnering with advertising and marketing agencies.
Minimum of 2 to 3 years of Social Media marketing experience.
2+ years managing staff.
Agency or corporate experience in building interactive media campaigns, including website usability and design, website analytics, banner ads, contextual ads, blogs, social networking, viral, and non-traditional techniques.
Deep knowledge of online advertising tactics including banner ad variations, contextual ads, blogs, social networking, viral, and non-traditional techniques.
Excellent strategic marketing, brand marketing and integrated marketing skills.
Excellent planning, analytical, conceptual and organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage changing requirements and short timelines, as well as multiple overlapping projects simultaneously.
Strong communication skills.
Goal orientation with experience meeting revenue and campaign performance targets.
Self-motivated, with a well-developed ability to grasp assignments and execute them from inception to completion.
Strong computer skills with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Strong knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and blogs.
Strong understanding of web development processes and best practices.
Basic understanding of HTML, Photoshop, helpful but not required.
Understanding of public relations a plus.
B.S. in Marketing or related field; MBA desired.
