Director, Business Development | Brand Partnerships

As the Director of Business Development in Brand Partnerships, you will connect top brands (ie Nike, Gatorade, Virgin) with the largest youth sports network of athletes, teams, events and colleges.

Manage your own business by driving new and sustainable partnerships with brands and the agencies that support them.
Educate your clients around the power of CaptainU’s Sports platform and the value of marketing and brand building partnerships.
Responsible for all aspects of business development including opportunity sourcing, pipeline management, pitching, negotiating, and closing.
Generate a high volume of qualified opportunities with customized focus on how our services can impact the partner’s business, marketing and brand exposure.
Develop strategic presentations and business models for marketing, advertising and brand exposure deals.
3-5+ years of high growth business development partnership experience
Bachelor’s Degree required
Established, verifiable relationships with key decision makers at brands and agencies.
Knowledge of digital business models having executed deals relating to brand exposure, revenue generating activities and audience development partnerships.
Successful inside sales track record at or above quota
Ability to develop professional, written documents and client presentations
Strong oral communication skills, negotiations skills, professionalism, strong sense of propriety and good judgment.
Sports media experience preferred with strong familiarity with the sports industry and relevant media deal structures.
Thrive in a fast-paced and high growth environment
Are coachable, implement feedback, and are dedicated to consistent self improvement
Have demonstrated sales aptitude, with relentlessly high standards (you’re never satisfied)
Are assertive, persistent, a good listener, and persuasive
