Acts as the subject matter expert in the creation, modification, and deployment of Microsoft desktop standard operating environments.
Defines technology-based business solutions within scope of project. Leads project teams in the appropriate use of technology.
Reviews and approves design decisions, within established level of authority, prior to implementation.
Assists in advising client company management regarding IT enterprise architecture services. Provides production problem diagnosis and technical processes support to project team. Assists in implementing resolution.
Leads system design activities and/or reviews system designs to assure that applications solutions will exhibit expected levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, appropriate reusability and reliability upon deployment.
Leads technology and product general assessments, detailed evaluations, and final selections.
Leads system performance diagnosis and scalability assessment activities.
The candidate must possess a minimum of 7-10 years of experience planning, architecting, implementing, and supporting enterprise-scale Windows and X86 technologies.
GRID/HPC (DataSynapse, Microsoft HPC, C-Squared, PolySystems) in environments greater than 300 engines
Microsoft Core Infrastructure (Active Directory, SMS, DNS, DHCP, WINS) Microsoft Server Operating System
Experience with any combination of the following is a plus, but not required: MFC, COM, ATL, WTL, Win32 API, MS Windows Forms, MS IE interfacing and embedding, MS IE Extensions, MS XML parser MS Office COM add-ins, OpenGL API, MS Visual Studio (6.0, 2003, 2005, 2008), InstallShield MSI development, VMWare Workstation, Ghost, Matrix 42, MDT, USMT, BigFix, SCCM
