Director / VP of Business Development

Overview
We're looking for a high-energy, self-motivated person to lead BlendAbout's Business Development efforts. Lead all business development activities company-wide to drive audience and revenue growth for the company through strategic partnerships.
Responsibilities
Set partnership vision and prioritization of business development activity.
Grow consumer reach and product evolution – on web and mobile – by identifying partnership opportunities and closing valuable distribution and content partnerships.
Lead end-to-end business development execution, including identifying strategic partners, screening partners, and negotiating and closing deals.
Build solid relationships with key players – both large established companies and emerging startups – to position BlendAbout for long-term success.
Must be able to set goals and successfully execute to them.
Experience
A proven self-starter who thrives in a fast paced environment with tremendous opportunity ahead.
Proven success in executing high-impact deals that move business metrics.
Driven to build exceptional relationships with key partners.
Experience and depth of knowledge in social networking and hospitality.
4+ years in consumer business development, with proven success in a consumer-based technology company.
Skills
Ability to set vision and prioritize across multiple products, partnerships, and revenue lines.
The ideal candidate will be ambitious, strategic, and networked.
Ability to drive results through excellent communication skills and streamlined decision making.
Ability to establish key partnerships and have proven success and strong relationships in the consumer/hospitality space.
Strong understanding of corporate strategy.
Analytical rigor and financial acumen.
Has a deep understanding of product, sales, and marketing (ancillary to core skill set in Business Development)
Closing skills are key to this position.
Compensation
We're pre-funded, so this is currently an equity-only position with potential for monthly bonuses. Hours are very flexible, but reliability is a must. We have a lot of exciting things happening over the next few months, so this is a great time to hop on board.
