Overview
We are a rapidly evolving company with the tech resources in the Internet TV and advertising space. Indeed we have a unique situation requiring out of the box thinking to maximize this business’s extraordinary potential to provide the platform for mainstream TV on both hardware and software levels.
Responsibilities
As a key member of the Management Team, the Director of Business Development will contribute to the strategic direction, growth and vision of the company.
This position encompasses the identification and realization of growth opportunities across all lines of business.
The Director of Business Development will possess an entrepreneurial spirit and the expertise to help build new business within the entertainment and technology markets. The Director-Business Development will report directly to the CEO.
Experience
Minimum of 7 years of relevant business development experience in technology field; minimum of 3 years in a senior level position.
Has developed and executed tactical sales plans including quotas and account objectives.
Sufficient business-to-business sales experience and technical knowledge to communicate effectively with a variety of industry groups.
Previous strategic planning experience; the ability to plan over a one-to-two year period.
A strong customer focus; commitment to delivering quality solutions and maintaining effective customer relationships.
Motivation necessary for achieving or surpassing objectives; passion for improving delivery of services with a commitment to continuous improvement.
Ability to work both independently and as a team player.
Proven and sustained Sales track record.
Resilient -- handles stress and rejection without reaction.
Excellent negotiation skill to secure and close deals.
Exceptional presentation skills.
Excellent written and verbal skills and equal strong listening skills.
Computer skills to include Microsoft Office Products - PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook and uses sales database tracking programs.
Proven business thinker with solid strategic skills and capacity to understand the business from a market and P&L perspective
Ability to work cross functionally with peer group of senior and executive leadership in order to achieve goals
Background or capabilities in people development, growth, and building a positive work culture through training, setting objectives and coaching
Ability to travel domestically and on occasion internationally
Skills
Organize and direct the long-term and short-term strategic business development efforts to meet both market share and sales goals
Actively identify client needs and ensure profitable solution based selling to increase revenues and create value added customer relationships.
Qualify new and existing business prospects to determine true opportunity and profitability; coordinate internal resources.
Self-motivated with a “get it done” and ‘whatever it takes” mentality
Superior strategy and financial skills
Strong analytical skills (experience building, evaluating and clearly presenting complex business solutions)
Rich interpersonal skills; ability to influence others without formal authority
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Transitions new business to Client-relations in an effective, efficient manner that ensures smooth, seamless on boarding of new clients.

BS/BA (MBA preferred)
