Overview
We're a rapidly growing business located in downtown San Francisco that's introducing a fresh model to the airline industry. We are a small group of young, smart, ambitious people who like to work hard. We are currently looking for a Business Development Manager to help identify new opportunities and build new business relationships while working with some of the most well-known brands in the travel industry. This is a contract job with the possibility of becoming salaried with stock options. Pay is low, promise is high.
Responsibilities
Examples of Duties & Responsibilities:
R&D: Think analytically. Use existing market research tools and create new ones to identify business opportunities
Project Management: take ownership of projects through their full life cycle: engagement, negotiation, closing, implementation, feedback & revision
Relationship building: work with team members to evaluate and establish successful partnerships
Experience
We are looking for an individual with the following characteristics:
Senior decision making skills
Articulate with excellent presentation and phone skills
Excellent networking and interpersonal skills - having existing upper-level contacts in the travel industry is a plus
Holds a high level of analytical ability - can easily use metrics to identify business opportunities
Has a strong understanding of effective product marketing
Comfortable negotiating pricing on high-value deals
Enthusiastic about working in a constantly evolving start-up environment
MBA or consulting background a plus
Education
Additional requirements:
* Bachelor's degree from a top-tier 4-year college or university (MBA preferred).
* 3-5 years of work experience in management consulting, business development, product marketing and/or project management.
* Ability to easily commute to our Financial District office (we are just a few blocks from BART).
