Appointbook is looking for a seasoned Business Developer to join us on our mission, simply put, to reinvent the way people plan and connect. From social activities, to meetings, to services, the Appointbook platform simplifies the lives of our users and helps facilitate face-to-face real life connections.
Director of Business Development
You are a progressive, rules-breaking leader with a passion for transformative technology. You’re active in the bay area startup community and have prior successes raising capital through Angel / VC / Crowd Funding channels. You sport a fearless mindset, have a go-getter attitude, and communicate technology in a way that’s compelling and easy to understand.
As our launch date quickly approaches, you’ll spearhead the efforts to secure additional funding, develop strategic industry partnerships, and assist in the execution of our go-to-market strategy. As a vital member of our founding team, you’ll wear many hats, have incredible room for professional growth, and have the opportunity to make a huge impact on our product and organization.
Responsibilities
Secure additional funding
Identify and develop strategic alliances and partnerships
Assist in the execution of our go-to-market strategy
Work closely with executive management to refine our strategic direction
Manage complex contract negotiations working with legal counsel as needed
Become the brand spokesperson, guiding communications with the press, at tradeshows and industry events.

Experience
10+ years of business development, marketing, and/or sales experience
Startup experience raising funds through Angel / VC / Crowd Funding channels
Skills
Pro-active problem solving with strategic and analytical capabilities
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, scrappy startup environment
Self-driven, independent, with a healthy disrespect for the impossible
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing is required, with an MBA preferred
Compensation
We want you to share in our success. As a key member of our founding team, you will receive equity compensation initially followed by monetary compensation post-funding.
