The Director of Business Development will focus on opportunities relating to Amplify’s Learning and Insight groups. The role will entail working on a wide range of projects including mergers and acquisitions, corporate strategy, business development, financial analysis and presentations. Travel will be required.
This Director of Business Development position helps drive partnerships and strategic opportunities based on detailed analysis, thorough competitive and marketing review and high level analytics to support the division’s objectives. Operating mechanism effectiveness needs to be maintained at a high level while helping provide insight to the VP, Business Development and the Curriculum executive team.
The Director will report to Amplify’s Vice President of Business Development.

Works closely with the respective teams in evaluating market segment share
Profile potential acquisition targets and/or partnership opportunities
Negotiate contracts and other business documents to further deal management
Responsible for conducting industry research, valuation analyses and due diligence
Create strategic presentations /recommendation documents
Provide support for M&A activities, business partner support, and provide ad hoc analysis on corporate initiatives
Works closely within Shared Services and will work hand-in-hand with the Finance team
Individual must also maintain an extreme level of confidentiality in dealing with all information
4 + years’ relevant experience in a education, high tech and/or software business
Financial Planning and Analysis experience in high tech/or software industry/or large-cap corporation
Experience conducting valuations for transaction advisory; financial reporting and financial modeling
Principle-based decision-making abilities and judgment that consider the impact to the entire company
Prior experience working in investment banking or corporate development
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced knowledge of Excel and ability to create PowerPoint presentations
Must be detail-oriented and able to work independently
