The Federal Sales Director will be responsible for managing Lancope’s US Federal Sales team. The position will report to the VP of Americas Sales and will be based in DC Metro. The Federal sales director is a senior leader, and is expected to provide mentorship, guidance, and skill development for his/her team.
Responsible for achieving Team’s sales objectives, including revenue goals, channel development & management, new business development and pipeline development.
Accurately forecast annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue streams. Ensures that sales goals and forecasts are consistent with the organization’s long-range strategic objectives.
Actively involved with sales team in the closure of major deals and in identifying opportunities.
Works closely with marketing, product management and other related parties to develop local pricing strategies, sales campaigns and any other tools required to be successful in territory.
Regularly visits key existing partners/customers, actively involved in the recruitment of key new partners.
Oversee the sales engineering activities to maximize sales revenues and meet corporate objectives.
Ensures sales staff receives training needed to be technically knowledgeable of company's products.
10 plus years related networking industry experience with at least 7 years of experience selling complex technology to Federal customers and/or carriers.
Experience developing and orchestrating multiple sales routes to market; direct, channel sales.
Must be adept at navigating through US Federal organizations, and are able to culturally adapt to be compelling.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
