Director of New Business Development

iSwifter is an early-stage startup based in the quaint downtown hub of Menlo Park, CA. Our founding team consists of serial entrepreneurs and Silicon Valley veterans who are passionate about building innovative technology and products that make a difference in the world. iSWiFTER was incubated at YouWeb. Backed by Silicon Valley super angels, iSWiFTER was spun out of YouWeb in January 2011.

iSwifter is looking for an entrepreneurial Director of New Business Development to join our team. The Director of New Business Development will be responsible for evaluating and executing partnerships, and will have a pivotal role in assessing and realizing the potential of a wide variety of business opportunities for iSWiFTER’s portfolio of products.
Gain entry into large companies and into companies in new verticals.
Provide input into company strategy.
Develop partnership strategy to "own" a vertical market.
Define creative deal structures to close strategic deals and yet be consistent across other customers.
5 years of business development experience for online industries. Gaming and/or mobile experience strongly preferred. (Gaming desirable but not required).
Business development experience with early stage companies partnering with Fortune 100 companies.
Demonstrated business development experience in a new market or vertical.
Demonstrated experience in creative deal structuring and closing a deal with a complex organization (preferably B2C deals or B2B2C deals).
Demonstrated experience in creating and maintaining relationships with senior-level executives with partner.
Ability to drive business development/deal process through various stages independently with occasional help from the company founders.
Outstanding collaboration, relationship-building, and networking skills.
Thoughtful and execution-oriented. High standards for work quality, attention to detail and accuracy.
A technical background with experience in both product management and business development preferred.
Travel to and/or work cross-functionally at partner organization
