Story To College seeks a Director of Online Expansion to lead sales and marketing strategy and implementation to individuals and schools.

Reporting to the CEO and working collaboratively with the Director of Strategic Partnerships, the Director of Online Expansion leads Story To College sales and marketing initiatives. With responsibilities that include strategy, implementation, metrics, and continuously improving outcomes, the Director of Online Expansion creates an exceptional customer experience across all touch points. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building and implementing targeted sales and marketing initiatives that drive the growth of Story To College. They should be passionate about education and have an eye for innovation, optimization, and simple solutions that generate breakthrough outcomes and results.

Clearly articulate the value proposition, benefits, and core values of Story To College.
Collaboratively shape and lead implementation of integrated marketing strategy to reach both schools (B2B) and individuals (B2C).
Develop individual and team sales strategies, tactics, goals, and benchmarks of success.
Research market, trends, audiences, and online communities/interactions to optimize web and social media presence and outcomes, including SEO strategy, online marketing, B2B and B2C campaigns and customer acquisition.
Work closely with Story To College team and outside vendors to develop clear project deliverables and timelines, and to ensure timely completion of all projects.
Passion for education and knowledge of educational issues, challenges, and opportunities.
3 – 5 years experience with increasing responsibility and measurable results in sales, marketing, and/or business development.
Hands-on experience in online advertising and customer acquisition.
Extensive knowledge and experience with customer relationship and database management, including work in Salesforce and Excel.
Strong tech background including experience with WordPress site development, SEO, Google Analytics, Google Adwords, and other online advertising platforms.
PHP, JavaScript, or other backend programming experience a plus.
Design sense and experience using Adobe InDesign a plus.
Exceptional written and oral communication and collaboration skills, including ability to motivate and redirect peers, to assess progress toward goals and adjust strategy when necessary to enable individuals and team to reach shared goals.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and complete tasks quickly, error-free, and within established timelines and budgets.
Ability to identify new and nurture and grow existing customers and partners.
Grace under pressure, whatever-it-takes attitude, team player.
