Are you passionate about technology? Virtual Instruments is looking for a creative and innovative individual to head up a fast-paced, rapidly expanding Product Management team!

As the Head of Product Management, you will be responsible for owning and driving the strategic direction of Virtual Instruments’ portfolio of products. You will build and lead a team of high performing product managers who will drive product strategy, define detailed product requirements, and drive go-to-marketing strategies.
Responsibilities
Drive product strategy, roadmaps and go-to market strategies for VI’s product suite
Collaborate with engineering and marketing teams to understand and establish measurable goals and objectives for our entire suite of products
Collaborate with corporate marketing to define core product messaging and positioning
Work with engineering and marketing to help identify viable solutions to business problems and implement end to end solutions
Lead and actively participate in cross-functional product team meetings, be the catalyst to drive product content and schedule decisions to optimize revenue and market impact
Drive innovative products, productization and pricing recommendations and decisions, along with follow through execution.
Perform market and competitive research by reviewing industry analyst content, developing analyst relationships and supplementing this knowledge with direct customer input.
Act as spokesperson/evangelist for our products - articulate product strategy, competitive positioning and long term product viability to customers, partners, press and analysts
Experience
10+ years’ experience in product management, with a minimum of 5 in a leadership capacity. Must have experience managing managers.
Must possess a solid background hiring and managing a diverse team covering multiple disciplines. Hiring a strong team will be a key part of this role so experience with hiring is a must
A clear and open approach to managing any possible issues within the team and across teams are both important factors
Skills
Previous product management experience with a demonstrated history of delivering successful enterprise products to market, preferably in the monitoring or management space
A clear and collaborative approach to the relationship between product management and engineering is a must
Excellent written and verbal communication skills – must be able to deliver and explain and simplify complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences
A strong collaborative nature and desire to be a team player and drive that approach into the team
A willingness to do what it takes to add value to the team and VI, this isn't a "pure" management role, the successful candidate will need to be willing to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty to get things done
Strong communication skills with the ability to work with multiple engineering groups and their requirements
Quality, out-of-the box thinker who is open-minded, creative, intelligent, and self-confident
Ability to influence and negotiate effectively with cross-functional teams and external customers at all levels
Highly entrepreneurial with a high level of passion, energy, dedication, and an unrelenting drive to succeed and win
