Overview
Isis, a mobile and contactless commerce start-up, is striving to revolutionize how consumers shop pay and save with mobile devices. As a game-changer in mobile payments, mobile commerce and Near-Field Communication (NFC), Isis is seeking a Director of Product and Technology to serve as a the principal link between Isis and AT&T in the areas of product development, platform integration& support, mobile devices and accessories and other enabling technologies.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Director, Product & Technology will be responsible for ensuring technical, timeline and process alignment and coordination. Areas of focus will include alignment of AT&T and Isis product& technology roadmaps, operational measurement, management& improvement, systems integration, connectivity and security. Further, the Director, Product& Technology will coordinate with the Isis Director, Sales& Marketing for AT&T to monitor the performance of AT&T as an ISIS-capable handset and Mobile Wallet distribution channel. Both Directors will work in tandem to drive process and other improvements to maximize yield, lower operational costs, accelerate time-to-market (process design and improvements, reduce cycle times and generally improve the performance of the AT&T channel.
Recognizing the highly sensitive nature of AT&T’s device portfolio planning information, the Director, Product& Technology will establish, maintain, oversee, *stress test- and generally manage a rigid process to securely and confidentially share necessary device and technology planning information to support the ISIS AT&T services. This process, at a minimum, will ensure that AT&T’s proprietary information is *firewalled- with respect to other ISIS MNO partner information, is shared only with pre-approved ISIS personnel with a legitimate *need to know- and used for the sole and specific purposes of joint ISIS AT&T product, platform and services planning and support. Further, the Director, Product& Technology will actively monitor the performance of AT&T as an ISIS-capable handset and Mobile Wallet distribution channel and will drive process and other improvements to maximize yield, lower operational costs, accelerate time-to-market (process design and improvements to include device testing and certifications).
Responsibilities
Manage the technical and handset relationship with AT&T
Oversee all aspects of cross-company project management
Establish, define, and coordinate the development, test and deployment of AT&T impacting& AT&T-centric product enhancement
Confidentially coordinate AT&T device roadmaps with Isis test& certification organizations, device OEMs as well as impacted Isis product teams to maximize availability and performance of Isis-Ready devices sold and supported through AT&T
Keep AT&T and Isis executive team well briefed on current product& technology status, issues and resolutions.
Identify critical paths, as well as logistical and organizational constraints, and then develop strategies and contingency plans for worst case scenarios, while ensuring appropriate visibility as necessary to escalate unresolved issues.
Stay abreast of NFC standards and application developments, certification needs and market requirements as they relate to incorporation and support of Isis services on mobile devices.
Support relationships with related ecosystem partners and vendors as required.
Experience
Minimum of 8 years of experience in the telecommunication, financial services and/or interactive media related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience working with wireless technologies and mobile applications, preferably at a wireless operator or a major handset manufacturer.
Knowledge of various operating platforms in the US such as Android, iPhone OS, RIM, Windows 7.
Experience in payment card industry, such as Issuers, Card Associations, Processors, is highly desirable.
Proven experience leading teams& cross-functional projects
Proven experience proactively managing multiple client relationships. Sales engineering experience highly desirable.

Education
BS/BA or equivalent required. BS in Engineering or Information technology preferred. MBA also preferred.
