Overview
Cloud Nine allows brand advertisers to sponsor free WiFi access at thousands of airport, hotel and café locations nationwide. Our model is simple. Users see a short ad before they connect to free WiFi. Advertisers get the opportunity to engage a receptive, tech-savvy audience in a way that’s meaningful, positive and memorable.

We’ve built a national WiFi sponsorship network that includes flagship locations like Seattle, Las Vegas and Charlotte airports. These locations use the revenue they earn from Cloud Nine to support the operation and expansion of their free WiFi networks. Campaigns have been sponsored by top advertisers like AOL, Google and Amazon.

Our team brings diverse expertise from top-tier organizations like Google, Y-Combinator and McKinsey. We’re different from other startups because we focus on the fundamentals of customer satisfaction, innovation, professionalism and measureable results instead of just chasing the next funding round. We also became profitable after eight weeks and have been growing ever since.
Responsibilities
We’re looking for a seasoned advertising sales person with the relationships, creativity and drive to build on our initial traction and introduce top agencies and Fortune 500 brand advertisers to the benefits of our product. Candidates will be expected to quickly establish an efficient sales pipeline and start building out a world-class sales team, and must have a proven track record in advertising sales. Candidate may be based either in our San Francisco or New York office.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop prospect lists, conduct sales calls, generate leads and close business
Refine marketing and sales materials to strengthen value proposition to advertisers and ad agencies
Participate in marketing events and programs including trade shows, webinars and online meetings
Recruit and hire new sales people
Provide feedback and input on long-term product strategy
Experience
4-7 years advertising sales experience
Strong track record of meeting and exceeding targets
Strong relationships with Top 50 agencies and brands by ad spend
Skills
Excitement about the startup environment and the possibility for high growth
Preference for a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
Ability to think analytically, set priorities and meet deadlines
Compensation
We offer a competitive salary & commission, plus medical, dental, vision, time off benefits and equity. This position is full-time, and is located either in our San Francisco office or in our New York office.
