neerg is a Venice, CA based start up founded in 2009 by leading business and tech professionals in the industry. The company entered beta in mid-2010 and is growing quickly; it has proven revenues with traffic up over 500% this year. Lastly, neerg gives 3% of its sales back to the green space; the company is committed to being more than just an internet destination.
neerg is looking for a Director of Sales and Operations.
This person will be the primary contact for all merchants and partners (publishers, non-profits, and other appropriate verticals) and have the opportunity to have a major impact on the growth of the company.
You will be directly responsible for managing outside sales staff, sourcing merchant deals internally, and working with the CEO to manage the operations from original merchant contact to promotion launch.
This individual will also be responsible for creating new partnerships with publishers and affiliates to generate traffic and revenues.
This position reports into the founder and CEO.
Additionally, this position will have a very tight relationship with our lead editor.
Create and manage all relationships with merchants featured on the daily deal platform, including sourcing deals and managing outside sales staff
Create and manage all relationships with affiliates, distribution partners, and non-profits
Help to continue to develop the brand and overall company
Project manage merchants and run internal operations of running a merchant promotion from signature, through deal creative and tech, and post deal relations
While the company is looking for a candidate with experience across the job’s major responsibilities, neerg is willing to train the right person if he or she is smart and driven.
Ideally, the candidate will be located the greater Los Angeles area, but for the right person the company could make an exception.

Self starter / entrepreneurial, the ability to drive own actions and ideas, and be a creative thinker
Responsible and trustworthy with the ability to manage themselves
An interest in the green space, internet technologies, social media, and basic knowledge of html are valued but not required
Compensation will be in the form of equity until capital is raised over the next 3-6 months or revenues increase. This is an opportunity for someone who wants significant upside at a company with proven revenue.
