Rhythmia Medical, a venture-backed company designing an innovative system to treat cardiac arrhythmias, is targeting one of the fastest growing fields in medical devices. The system includes state of the art signal processing, 3D imaging and catheter fabrication technologies. We are looking for an outstanding Director of Systems Engineering with demonstrated outstanding performance in previous organizations. This is a high impact position taking a leading role in the establishment of product definition, product requirements, and creating a long-term product roadmap.

Responsibilities
Responsible for product definition documentation and functional requirements to guide development.
Manage the product throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product requirements, playing a major role in defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering teams and clinicians to gather and integrate feedback.
Provide leadership in the areas of electrical/software/mechanical design.
Understand clinical requirements and priorities to design optimal clinical experience.
Assist with troubleshooting problems, discrepancies, and in investigation of non-conformances. Develop SOPs.
Report regularly to management on product status
Skills
BS or higher in Electrical Engineering or Physics from a top school required.
Minimum 5 years of work experience, ideally in a systems engineering role, preferably in Medical Devices.
Proven track record of product guidance through the entire lifecycle – definition to commercial launch
In-depth background in R&D is required
Excellent written and verbal communication ability
Attention to detail
Diligent follow-up and perseverance
Experience with a small company, start-up is a plus
Experience with patent prosecution is a plus
Education
BS or higher in Electrical Engineering or Physics from a top school required
