Overview
Wireless Generation is seeking a Director of User Research and Testing to lead a growing team of Design and Qualitative researchers and work alongside various members of the user research team. The User Research and Testing Director will guide research practices and user testing for a ground-breaking K-12 digital curriculum product. The team is involved in a variety of high and low stakes engagements at various points in the product development process. The ideal candidate has in depth experience defining, formulating, and overseeing user research studies.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities of Director of User Research and Testing:
Work with a team of qualitative and design researchers, stakeholders and product development teams to ensure user research and testing needs are met
Work with leaders of the Research & User Testing team to determine how to best serve the testing needs of the Curriculum division at large
Facilitate a process to gather feedback from a variety of user testing engagements and house data in a shared system
Advise on protocols for analysis and sharing of feedback gathered from various testing engagements
Serve as a role model in training, motivating and challenging the team Instrumental in recruiting and hiring new team members as well as ensuring career development and growth.
Initiate development of standard practices and procedures for the research team to communicate with the larger organization
Experience
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
8+ years experience as a Researcher or User Experience Professional
Experience in defining User Testing and research processes
Experience managing a team of professionals
Demonstrated research and analytical abilities
Skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodology is preferred
K-12 education experience preferred; experience within a software development environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills; creativity and objective-oriented focus.
