Overview
The Director of Visual Content is a true creative visionary. Inspired by food, nature, and beauty, this person will develop a "visual voice" that FarmFixe's visitors and brand partners find irresistible. A soup-to-nuts role for those who desire creative control, the right candidate will venture to local farms to shoot mouth-watering images and video of our local food producers and their goods and will be adept at editing his/her own work. An artist and budding entrepreneur, this dynamic individual will will work closely with the CEO and will have an integral hand in launching the best destination for food enthusiasts and local food producers in the greater Chicago area.
Responsibilities
Define visual content strategy and voice.
Produce and direct photo shoots at various locations (your own transportation is required but we will reimburse your gas)
Edit work for online publishing environment.
Work closely with writers to ensure consistent messaging.
Work closely with third party web development/design firm to ensure consistent vision.
Experience
Formal experience desired but not necessary
Must be able to provide examples of photography skills
Skills
Food photography
Photo editing for online platform
Ability to coordinate, produce, and direct on-site photo shoots
Video skills are a strong plus
Education
No formal education necessary
Degree (or degree candidate) in relevant Fine Arts field a plus
Degree (or degree candidate) in relevant Fine Arts field a plus
Compensation
This is an internship with potential to turn into a full-time leadership position. Compensation in the form of equity is negotiable.
