Amplify Learning is creating exciting new curriculum that reinvents teaching and learning in the core subjects of English Language Arts, math and science. Amplify is looking for a talented and motivated Teacher to conduct high-profile marketing trials in school districts that are potential sales targets for the Amplify middle-school curriculum. This position is responsible for teaching two distinct, 11-day segments of English Language Arts digital curricula to 7th graders in districts to be selected by Amplify Learning. The program to be taught involves a one-to-one delivery model, in which the teacher has his or her own tablet and students each have their own individual tablets.
Very strong teaching skills, love of digital learning tools, product knowledge and ability to answer product questions, coupled with a good show-and-tell personality, are critical for success in this role.

Attend Professional Development training sessions for mastery of the ELA Compressed Trial digital curriculum and to obtain product-specific knowledge relating to the ELA materials alignment with the common core
Teach the digital curriculum once in November and once in December, each for a 10-day period, in a single school, taking over the classes of a single teacher. Expected teaching load is 2-3 classes per day for each 11-day engagement.
Grade student work on a timely basis, each night, for return to the students.
Interface with other key Amplify team members to provide daily share-outs as needed.
Engage in debriefs following the trials, providing both written and oral feedback.
100% travel required; position is based out of Brooklyn, NY
Master’s degree in English or equivalent preferred
Knowledge and experience integrating instructional technology in the classroom or in a training/consulting capacity; thorough knowledge of Common Core State Standards, SBAC and PARCC assessments
Proficiency with iPAD/iOS tools and applications
Possess superb teaching instincts and the ability to pivot in real time to accommodate technical glitches and issues that may surface in a classroom
Dynamic personality that can embrace and promote Amplify’s program
Excellent writing skills; proficiency with Microsoft Word; ease with Web-based software
Strong time-management skills and willingness to grade student work at night or after-school
Ability to travel throughout the tenure of the position
Familiarity of Amplify products
Candidates will be expected to demonstrate a sample lesson at Amplify and/or to submit a video that shows pedagogical skills

4+ years ELA teaching experience in a middle-school classroom
State or national teaching certification required
