GiveArang is a an online platform that enable schools to create, streamline, manage fundraising beyond just monetary means so the outcome is fruitful for all stakeholders.
We are seeking applicants with excellent writing and copy editing skills to fill an editorial intern position. For those with a strong interest in nonprofit organizations, technology for nonprofits, and/or fundraising, this internship is a great opportunity to apply your writing and research skills to speak to and educate a nonprofit audience.
The right candidate will be motivated, creative, and capable of working independently and taking initiative. GiveArang.org works with a wide range of clients so a general interest in schools and nonprofit causes and activism is also a plus. Familiarity with social media (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.) and blogging is strongly preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Office.
Understand the value of social media tools: Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, and LinkedIn.
Knowledge of blogging platforms such as WordPress and other content management systems.
Strong interest in journalism, nonprofit relations, technology, social media and to further pursue a career in the fields noted above.
Applicant must be very comfortable using a computer, the Internet, and be proficient in MS Word.
Applicant should be familiar with social networking platforms and blogging.
Previous writing and editing experience is preferred.
Excellent written communication and research skills.
Good organizational skills and attention to details and deadlines.
Enthusiastic and eager to learn.
Ability to work independently, act proactively and take initiative.
Interns must be professional, flexible, accurate, thorough, and have the ability to multi-task.
