Overview
Open Air Publishing is looking for an intern to help with editing, writing, and production. Join us and learn how to turn raw copy into a watertight manuscript, produce and direct a professional video shoot, and pull it all together into a top-selling book.
We’re a tight-knit start-up team of business, tech, and creative types who believe compelling content can be more than just words on a page. We produce original, how-to e-books designed exclusively for touchscreen devices like the iPad and iPhone. Our books allow readers to master new skills through touch, sight, and sound. Oh, and we like snacks and start work at 10 AM.
We’re looking to hire an editorial assistant to help with production for the Fall Semester, with the hope that you’ll come on full-time after graduation. You’ll work with our skilled content managers to help envision, create, and edit the text, videos, and graphics that go into our books.

Responsibilities
Copy-editing and fact-checking
Brainstorming and researching new book ideas
Managing multimedia assets of book including photography, audio, and video
On-set production support during video and photo shoots
Drafting outreach for press and creative talent
Experience
Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative team environment
Skills
Excellent writing and editing skills
Organized and able to juggle multiple tasks at once, attentive to detail, and process-oriented
Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to improvise
Affinity for Google Docs
Education
In process of obtaining a bachelor’s or master’s degree
Compensation
You must be able to work on site at our SoHo office for a minimum of 2 days per week.
