An ideal candidate will be:
Exceptional in either Perl, Python, or PHP
Proficient in C or C++
Strong understanding of Linux (shell scripting, configuration, etc)
Familiarity with TCP/IP (HTTP, specifically)
Prior work with embedded devices is a plus
Excellent problem solving and analytical ability
Able to work independently on complex quality assurance tasks requiring planning, scheduling, and testing where a variety of identifiable factors may impact the results
A broad understanding of the SQA process, the SDLC, client-server based applications, and agile software methods
Design and document formal test plans
Develop product metrics and reports for defect tracking
Perform component, system, regression, and stress testing
Identify and evaluate defects in software and systems
Ensure all software versions are thoroughly tested, documented for defects, and delivered in a timely manner
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
