Shotgun Software is hiring! We've just announced our new Pipeline and Asset management platform, Tank, and are looking for people who would like help us make it an amazing product for artists, pipeline engineers and producers.
We're looking for someone who is passionate about building tools for artists that are beautifully designed to be both effective and intuitive, someone who understands why good tools and elegant workflows are critical for artists. You enjoy and value a continuous dialogue with the end user and know that this is crucial for a successful delivery. And you have the technical chops to dive in and write scripts and plug-ins for a variety of applications commonly used in digital post production (e.g. Maya, Nuke, Houdini, etc.).
We think that your background is probably computer science or similar - alternatively you are an artist or TD that has developed tools and pipelines. Either way, you are now a seasoned developer who understands how to write, maintain, and deploy code so that it remains robust and flexible. You know Python well and enjoy building user interfaces in QT. Ideally, you have used Shotgun in production and may have some knowledge of how to build web based tools.
You would work with the Tank team in our new LONDON office. We're a small, closely knit group of independent, broad spectrum developers who extend and maintain Tank across a variety of platforms and artist tool packages. Not only would you be a major contributor to the Tank app ecosystem, but you would also act as an ambassador to help guide our community of app developers.
Production Experience + experience writing production pipeline tools (show us your stuff!)
Good understanding of how a VFX or Animation pipeline works
Experience with integration in packages such as Maya, XSI, Houdini, Nuke, etc.
Python based QT (pyside/pyqt) UI Development
Comfortable with all three platforms (Windows, Macosx, Linux)
CS degree or similar desirable but not required
We will compensate you fairly.
