Engineering Internship [Programming]

Overview
iDialogs, a New York based medical software start-up, is seeking a talented intern to work with our development team for the summer. We’re looking for a hard working self-starter coder to be fully integrated into our team. No getting coffee, you’ll be working on real tasks that affect the outcome of our business.
Responsibilities
Work closely with our development team to expand and improve our codebase.
Build out your own branch with specific enhancements that can be integrated back into our application at the end of the summer.
Learn our software development lifecycle while participating in releases, deployment, quality assurance and bug fixes.
Assist the design/product team in creating in making layout, feature, user interface and user experience decisions.
Help mitigate a growing medical problem affecting tens of millions of Americans.
Experience
Open to current college and graduate students as well as recent graduates.
Strong interest in designing, building consumer software products and working in a small start-up.
Skills
Ability to program with php (or similar language) and MVC frameworks.
Ability to build applications for the web with current techniques in HTML, CSS, javascript, jQuery and other relevant tools.
Ability to use version control systems such as SVN or Git.
Education
Enrollment (or recent enrollment) at a top ranked university is a benefit.
Strong course work in a relevant field such as computer science or related field.
Compensation
Compensation is available for this internship.
