Overview
We are seeking experienced engineering technician who is interested in joining a fast-paced, entrepreneurial company. The ideal candidate should be a motivated, self-starter, who can perform highly detailed work, assemble and disassemble electrical components and systems, set up test stands, document assembly instructions, collect test data, and provide feedback on schematics and systems when necessary.
Responsibilities
Assemble, disassemble, and troubleshoot electrical components, subsystems, and complex servo-mechanical assemblies.
Assemble prototypes, test stands, and production subsystems to support engineering design and development efforts.
Provide feedback for design improvements for assembly, serviceability, and manufacturability.
Perform highly detailed design work.
Assist in developing and documenting assembly instructions and test set-ups when necessary.
Perform design verification/validation activities as may be required, including assisting with regulatory testing at local contract laboratories.
Experience
Associates degree or technical degree.
6+ years of work experience in a related electrical/mechanical environment.
Must be computer literate and able to use Word, Excel, and OrCad and have the ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, assemblies, and bills of material.
Experience with Pro/ENGINEER and Windchill a plus.
Ability to work effectively and efficiently both as a team member and individually.
Soldering and electronics fabrication experience a plus.
Creative problem solving skills with a hands-on, proactive work ethic.
