Our architects are visionary, innovative, hands-on leaders that drive the technology roadmap, set the architectural principles and continuously guide our technical team. They execute the company's vision in creating and building an Enterprise class highly scalable SaaS solution.
Responsibilities
Devise and execute the technology vision for the business
Assist the company in developing patents
Lead the requirement analysis, architecture design, and solution development
Create and maintain system architecture
Transform business requirements to Tier 1 and 2 technical requirements.
Prototype, design, develop and test solution components.
Recommend open source, third-party, and COTS software
Maintain software to meet scalability, availability, and performance requirements
Interface with business and sales organization. Be the conduit between technology and non-technology organizations
Owner of the technology estimation and support release planning.
Experience
Minimum of 8 years experience in Architecture, Design and Implementation of large scale SaaS applications.
Skills
Passionate about coding
Create clean re-usable code with attention to detail and consistency
Architect and implement enterprise class, highly-scalable multi-tenant applications using open source solutions
A deep understanding and hands on experience with technologies like J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, EclipseLink, OpenJPA, DataNucleus, Angular JS, jQuery, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, ElastiCache and other similar open source solutions.
Excellent OO Analysis and Design Skills
Database design, modeling and programming
Good understanding of creating service layers using Apache CXF
Knowledge of Test Driven Development, mocking frameworks, IoC, dependency injection
Experience creating, developing, and deploying apps to Amazon Web Services including EC2, RDS, and S3
Knowledge of Big Data technologies like Hadoop, HBase, CloudFront, MongoDB, DynamoDB
Experience designing and developing social, mobile applications is preferable
Knowledge of E-commerce engines - BroadLeaf Commerce, OpenCart is preferable
Knowledge of content management systems such as Alfresco, Drupal is preferable
Knowledge of workflow and Business Process Management rules platforms such as Activiti is preferable
Active in Open source community would be a plus
Education
Bachelors in Computer Science (or related fields). Preferred - Masters degree.
Compensation
We are a pre-revenue start-up seeking professionals interested in committing sweat equity to the development of the company. Successful candidates will receive equity shares commensurate with contributions and the potential to secure a job opportunity as Director of Engineering following initial funding. Hourly contract work may be considered.
