Grofolio is seeking an experienced investment banking/financial services professional with expertise in primary offerings of private company securities to join our team of professionals as a C-level executive member. The candidate should have an entrepreneurial focus and be interested in being an integral member of an early stage high-growth platform.
Manage the day-to-day operations and set the strategic vision for Grofolio’s mission-critical investment banking operations. The candidate will be expected to become a registered representative of (and be seconded to) Grofolio’s broker-dealer partner firm, and/or ultimately to become registered with Grofolio in the event Grofolio acquires or applies to become a broker-dealer. The candidate may be asked to become branch office supervisor as needed.
Typical activities on a day-to-day basis include:
Developing partnerships with other broker-dealers to syndicate deals
Identifying, interacting with, and closing sales to accredited investors
Seeking and identifying growth stage companies appropriate for investor portfolios
Analyzing potential deals to determine risk/reward profile and fundability
Performing investor suitability analysis
Modeling and structuring prospective offerings on behalf of issuer clients
Developing internal form offering templates
Performing internal financial operations for Grofolio
Candidates must have excellent quantitative skills and must have a working knowledge of the capital marketplace, economics, risk evaluation and risk management.
Candidates must have at least five years of experience with an investment bank or investment firm. Experience with growth stage companies in a broad range of industries is a plus.
Candidates must also be detail oriented and self motivated. Candidates must be self-starters, self-disciplined and extremely open-minded as they will be joining a rapidly growing and evolving company and will regularly interact with a wide range of investor and corporate cultures.
The ideal candidate will be licensed with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and will have two or more of the following licenses:
The ideal candidate will have an MBA or a Master’s degree in finance, banking, investing or accounting.
Grofolio offers competitive compensation and growth opportunities to the ideal candidate. Compensation will consist of a base salary, commissions for successful deals, and generous option grants consistent with the candidate’s status as an early stage member of the executive team.
