Job Title: WEST Summit/Showcase event management associate
Type: Non-Compensated Volunteer Position (Part-time Telecommuting is OK)
Hours: 8-10 hours/week, 6-8 months period
Reports to: HR lead
About the position:
Sustainable Silicon Valley organizes a yearly full day event involving a large number of presenters, speakers and sponsors on hot topics in the area of sustainability. To make it highly successful event, we require an efficient event management associate. The right candidate is well-organized person with excellent communication and writing skills. Working under the supervision of the HR lead and /or WEST summit Program Director, this volunteer position the candidate should commit to minimum of 8-10 hours per week. It is assumed that the candidate will have his/her own laptop and communications tools.
Perform elementary research about other summit, workshops and conferences. And come with a gift ideas and budget plan.
Procure the gifts through all possible channels
Follow up with distributors and channels.
Prepare a plan for gift distribution and make record of it.
Qualities and Skills/Experience:
● Important to have polished writing skills
● Good communication skills.
● An eye for creative ideas
● Well organized person
● Experience with standard PC or MAC applications and WEB browser
