Overview
FIX Consultant needed. You must have at least 3 to 7 years comprehensive experience of working with and using FIX Protocol as a FIX Consultant. Candidates must have strong knowledge of the FIX Protocol combined with experience of working in an financial environment. The position is a technology role. The successful candidate will be working for a number of business areas including Institutional businesses. Responsibilities of the role include: Analysis of FIX requirements, design, configuration, testing and implementing of the FIX connections. The successful candidate will have: Experience and understanding of the Investment Banking Industry. Strong technical skills including, SQL and C# or Java Programming experience. Understand the Trade Lifecycle. Strong interpersonal skills, communication, teamwork, leadership.
Responsibilities
The focus will be to deliver efficient, high speed, low latency connectivity to market centers in order to provide a one stop web based end-to-end straight-through service that lists, analyzes, and does electronic trading of International debt issues.
Experience
Several years of experience in developing high throughput, low latency exchange connectivity infrastructure is preferable.
Prior experience in US equities trading environment is essential. Prior experience in US options/futures trading environment a plus. Prior experience in UK / Asia markets a plus.
Knowledge of building low latency, highly available exchange connectivity infrastructure is a big plus.
Strong technical and programming skills is a key requirement. In-depth understanding of Object Oriented Design and Programming is essential. Knowledge of design patterns and methodologies is also required. Expertise in server side programming is necessary. In depth knowledge of performance tuning necessary.
Skills
Candidates need to have a very good understanding of the micro-structure of the various market centers as well as industry standard protocols such as FIX.
Lead application development - architect, design, and development.
Support all additional necessary startup activities
Education
• University degree in the field of computer science or other technical field.
