Fashion Marketing Internship

at Alvin Valley in NY 10001   —   Jun 23, 2014   |  
Launched in 1995, Alvin Valley is a designer brand, which is known for its cult following for its tailored apparel, particularly its flawlessly fitting women’s pants. Looking for a passionate and motivated, hardworking individual with a strong interest in fashion. His designs have earned him the title, “King of Pants”, by the New York Times; a true testament to the confident and empowered woman who is the quintessential Alvin Valley customer. We have recently relaunch with a focus on eCommerce, as a luxury designer brand and are looking for a passionate and motivated, hardworking individual with a strong interest in fashion.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
fulfilling media and PR requests
maintaining stock in the office
composing blog posts and engaging with other fashion bloggers
rganizing events for the company
managing social media accounts (instagram, twitter, Facebook)
helping the entire office with daily tasks
We will require 16-35 hours during the week
Deadline for this internship: Rolling
Prior experience in fashion (whether working for another company or majoring in fashion related degree) is preferred but not necessary
Experience in photoshop is encouraged
Excellent phone, organizational, social and computer skills
Details oriented approach
Positive attitude in a fast pace environment
Ability to take on multiple tasks at the same time
Bachelors/Masters: Preferred but not necessary
This is an unpaid internship but you will gain a vast amount of experience in the start up fashion and tech space! If school credit is necessary, we will provide.
