Responsibilities
We are looking for a talented and experienced Field Applications Engineer to be the primary face representing the Mocana technical sales offering to existing customers and to new prospects. As such, you will work closely with outside account managers, inside sales managers, product management and engineering to help expand our customer base and deliver world class security solutions to prospects and current customers.
This role is critical; you'll be representing us as a technical expert and must be able to communicate effectively the value of our technology in a knowledgeable, effective and efficient manner.
Experience
Job Responsibilities:
Design and propose winning solutions based on your evaluation of prospect and customer specifications
Provide feedback to the product management team on trends and real world issues in the security field
Represent the company and partner solutions in creating end to end solutions for prospects and customers
Craft winning responses and creative solutions to RFI/RFPs issued by prospects and customers
Support evaluation software for prospects and partners
Provide training and on-site integration support for prospects and partners
Skills
Relevant Experience & Skills
C or C++ knowledge, 2-5 years of coding highly preferred, Java experience a plus
5+ years of pre-sales experience in the embedded software industry (technical, product marketing, engineering background preferred)
Credible working knowledge of tcp/ip networking, wireless and security essentials (protocols, certificates, encryption)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to interact with both business and technical counterparts
Ability to clearly communicate the product vision and value proposition to internal and external audiences
Ability to quickly and professionally craft presentations and respond to written communications using PowerPoint, Word and Excel
Experience generating demos, training and documentation (technical notes, integration guides) for prospects and customers
Knowledge of build and debugging tool skills to perform training and on-site debugging as needed
Proficient in the embedded OS's - Android, Linux, Green Hills, Wind River, iPhone
BS in computer science or electrical engineering preferred
