Samasource is an award-winning social enterprise with a huge vision—to connect the one billion people living in poverty around the world to work using technology. Samasource combines the fast-paced, results-driven culture of a tech start-up with the social mission and idealism of a non-profit. We like to move quickly and get things done—if you join us, you will be part of a dynamic team that is passionate about making an impact.
Samasource was founded in 2008 and is supported by major corporate and philanthropic funders including MasterCard, Google, eBay, Cisco, Rockefeller, Ford and the State Department. Headquartered in San Francisco’s Mission District, Samasource has 30+ employees and gives work to thousands of people worldwide.
The Field Team needs a proactive, organized Field Associate to play a significant role in crafting the process Samasource uses in identifying, engaging and managing recruiting partners. This is a full-time 10-week internship located in our Nairobi, Kenya SamaLab during summer 2013.
This is an exciting position to help Samasource scale. As a Field Associate, you will have the opportunity to work with the Field Team's Managing Director and Field Manager to develop a comprehensive strategy to identify, vet and manage potential recruiting partners. Recruiting partners work hand-in-hand with Samasource to help place potential workers in Samasource Delivery Centers. Through speaking with current recruiting partners, the Field Associate will gain a clear understanding of how Samasource can best work with outside partners already working with Samasource's target group and create an end-to-end process to support scale. Once the process is complete, we expect the Field Associate to identify organizations in East Africa, India and other locations worldwide that meet the new criteria.
