As an integral member of the Sales team, the Field Sales Marketing Manager-ELA is expected to help drive and manage both regional and local communications to Amplify’s field sales organization, as well as facilitate and support its integration into NEW marketing activities. This position will demonstrate an in-depth understanding of ELA curriculum including core and supplemental products and will present Amplify’s innovative products in an organized, accurate, and captivating fashion. This position will play a key part in customizing the sales vision, paying special attention to customer needs, campaign issues, and competitive knowledge.
Responsibilities of the Field Sales Marketing Manager:
Be the subject matter expert for Amplify’s Learning offerings, including pedagogy, and educational trends in ELA
Develop and execute tactical strategies to drive lead generation, customer acquisition, retention in local markets
Work closely with SVP of Sales/Marketing and sales team for ensuring that they have the tools necessary to achieve their sales revenue targets
Work with SVP to plan, execute, and measure sales and marketing campaigns to grow and convert sales pipeline and revenue
Execute sales campaigns including, but not limited to in-person and virtual events, direct marketing, Recordings of sales presentations (internal and external use)
Collaborates with marketing to design and present at regional and/or national conferences
Implement marketing and promotional plans as appropriate for regional field sales needs
Make recommendations to SVP for revisions on annual plans based on effectiveness
Maintain strong, ongoing channels of communication with SalesForce, Product Marketing, Product Management and Strategy, Editorial, and other internal departments
Provide feedback to product management with respect to product needs, competitive information and other data that would help inform the product management accountability with respect to product roadmaps
Basic Qualifications Field Sales Marketing Manager:
5+ years of equivalent experience in a B2B or B2G setting
2 + years of experience in sales or in a sales overlay role
Proven experience marketing education technology and/or software products
Proven experience with competitive analysis
Ability to travel 30-40% of the time
Preferred Qualifications Field Sales Marketing Manager:
Knowledge of the K-12 marketplace and our company’s position within it
Strategic marketer with a passion for the customer and an analytical mindset
Outstanding problem solving skills and demonstrated success managing projects of varying size, complexity and length in a fast-paced environment
Outstanding communication skills, including ability to summarize key points & implications
Strong collaboration skills with an outstanding track record in facilitating alignment across stakeholders and teams.
Experience championing new ideas and marketing programs
Demonstrated ability translating product features into compelling customer value sales presentations
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in a results-driven, team-oriented environment
Proven written and verbal communication skills
