Fine Art Sales Associate

PurePhoto is an online fine art photography gallery curated for the interior design market. We work with design professionals to source artwork for commercial, hospitality and residential projects.

Our clients include industry leaders Nate Berkus, Helen Green Design in London, Mario Brito in New York, Susan Manrao in Los Angeles and other large firms. The artists we represent are internationally acclaimed photographers. Their work can be found in the world’s top hotels and restaurants, the homes of celebrities like Gwyneth Paltrow and Wayne Gretzky and the galleries of esteemed collectors worldwide.

PurePhoto is seeking a highly motivated fine art sales associate to be responsible for generating new business from interior design and architecture firms. Candidates will preferably be located in a major metropolitan area such as NYC or LA and comfortable working with a remote team. Full-time applicants will be given preference, part-time applicants will also be considered.

The position offers an exciting opportunity to be involved on the ground floor of a young and rapidly growing company. We are looking for someone who will be a great culture fit; friendly, outgoing, organized, results-oriented and able to work independently. Being successful will require a strong work ethic and borderline OCD attention to detail. Ideal candidates will have an existing professional network in the design world (interior designers, architects, corporate developers, art consultants, etc.) and/or a background working in a gallery, professional photo lab or an artist rep firm.
Develop and execute a sales strategy leading to new business.
Reach out and develop relationships with design professionals in-person and virtually.
Work with our labs throughout the U.S. Europe and Australia to fulfill orders.
Gain an understanding of our art portfolio, photographic printing, framing and finishing options.
Minimum 2 years of sales experience with a proven track record of generating sales growth.
Knowledge of the interior design market and an existing professional network in the design world.
Strong interpersonal and communications skills, attention to detail and a dedicated work ethic.
Highly resourceful and comfortable working in an unstructured startup environment.
Base salary and commission with tremendous upward growth potential.
