Responsibilities
This may may turn into a permanent position. We need a PHP developer that has multiple years of experience with PHP and a working knowledge of relational databases, specifically MySQL.
Being located in the New York area is an advantage, but working remotely is a realistic option.
Experience
Experience with cakePHP is a plus.
Additional experience with javascript (especially jQuery) is another big plus.
Strong knowledge and understanding of PHP 5
Comfort and familiarity with MySQL
Fluency in XHTML, JS, AJAX, CSS
Exposure to open-source content management systems (i.e. Drupal, Wordpress)
Passion for new technology and a love of problem solving
Excellent attention to detail
Skills
Comfort with using Linux and Apache Web Server
Experience with Subversion or other version control systems
Experience with a JS framework such as jQuery or Prototype
Familiarity with delivering content over content delivery networks
Compensation
The project consists of creating an e-commerce platform for a reverse auction business. Compensation will be between $3,000 and $5,000.
