Front End/Back End Developer

Overview
At Layerframe we love to build things. We are makers, doers, artisans. We're based in the cultural heart of New York City in the Lower East Side, and we infuse that energy into everything we do.

Our small, dedicated team of leaders and need a freelance/permalance to join our group for the next 3 months, after which we'll have a discussion about staying on the team. We're pretty fluid in terms of responsibilities and job tasks, so you can wear as many or as few hats as you'd like. We do have a lot of really cool projects in the works, so we'll need you to put your heart and soul into the work.
Responsibilities
Handling front end and back end development for primarily Wordpress operated sites
App development
Setting up and maintaining a Media Temple hosting service
A curious thinker, who is self motivated and who explores the web daily to have an ever growing and profound understanding of the online landscape and emerging technologies
Skills
In depth HTML5/CSS3 knowledge, PHP, AJAX, JQuery, MySQL, CSS3, Bootstrap, Responsive layout and APIs (tracking/parsing/creating)
Write and maintain the front end and back end code of web applications
Implement client-side development methodologies for optimum performance and tracking
Create scaleable and reusable code adhering to department standards
Participate in debugging code
Adhere to project schedules and meet challenging deadlines
Education
High School Diploma/GED equivalency
Bachelors in Computer Science preferred
Compensation
