Overview
We are building a hot new application in the social networking space, and are looking for a creative and efficient developer to lead up the front end of TheHotlist, as well as contribute to our mobile applications (iPhone, Blackberry, Android). The focus of this work will be mostly about implementing a great-looking, fast, efficient and easy-to use AJAX front-end. As a small start-up, the ideal candidate will also be able to make contributions by doing some work with graphics (i.e. Photoshop/Illustrator), as well as be comfortable working within a PHP web application.
Responsibilities
As part of our small team, design, develop, implement and maintain our AJAX-heavy (HTML, CSS, Javascript) web application.
Work with the rest of our small company to help estimate and prioritize future developments.
Implement solutions which integrate tightly with 3rd party APIs (facebook, google maps, etc).
Self-motivation, and the ability to thrive in a small unstructured environment.
:::Requirements:::
Strong experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript and AJAX.
Strong experience working with a cross-browser environment (you should already know how IE botches the box model, and how to work around it).
Experience working with PHP web applications in a MVC model (Kohana/CodeIgnitor experience a plus).
Experience working with Adobe creative suite
BSc in Computer Science or related field preferred.
Experience
3 years full time development experience required
Must have a portfolio of work to show, and experience with implementing design with backend code.

CSS
Adobe suite (particularly Photoshop & Illustrator)
Needs knowledge of the workings of and smooth integration with PHP & Java script
Education
BSc in Computer Science or an engineering field preferred, though not required
Compensation
Stock options a possibility, in addition to salary.
