Reporting to the CTO in an Agile shop, you will be in near daily collaboration with the CTO, the Director of Product, and the other developers, and you will yield substantial influence in both the creative and technical aspects of user experience. You take pride in clean client markup, re-usable design elements and understand that the real world consists of a plethora of browsers and "standards" (i.e. test, test and test). You can multi-task and prioritize.
Develop production-level front-end code from Photoshop design mockups
Assist with back-end integration
1+ years experience with Ruby on Rails views
Semantic, SEO-friendly (X)HTML that passes validation
Experience using AJAX to manipulate large data sets
Visualization/UI design experience, knowledge of usability best practices
Extensive experience in cross-browser development techniques, browser degradation strategies
Experience working in Unix environment, source control, and bug tracking tools
Desire to work in a fast paced startup environment
Comfortable helping with feature design sessions and working with business stakeholders
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong collaborative skills and ability to fulfill multiple roles
Experience with Flash / Flex / ActionScript
Experience with mapping APIs (Google Maps, Google Earth, Live/Bing Maps, etc.)
Familiarity with MVC frameworks
Familiarity with templating languages (HAML, Liquid, Template Toolkit, Smarty, Mason)
Experience with Facebook Connect / FBML
Experience with mobile applications and Apple Human Interface Guidelines
