Front End Engineer

Overview
Lookout is busy working on a range of projects across both the web and multiple mobile devices. We need an awesome front end engineer who is interested in full-stack web development with an emphasis on pushing the limits of modern browser technologies.

In this position you’ll be able to work on a wide range of interesting problems from helping to shape the API’s we use on our large scale backend system, to building mobile applications for our 11 million delighted users (and growing). You’ll be able to work across a range of technologies and tools to push the limits of modern browser technologies from both the mobile and desktop aspects.
Responsibilities
Design and develop modern web applications for multiple mobile devices and the desktop
Collaborate with the design team to implement clean, elegant user experiences
Work alongside your friends on the development team toward displaying HTML5-based content
Iterate, iterate, iterate
Write clean and maintainable code using engineering best practices (unit testing, automation, source control, design patterns, etc.)
Experience
Demonstrated experience creating consumer web application UI's
Skills
Fluency in core JavaScript
Strong software design and coding ability
Familiarity with web frameworks such as Rails, Django
Demonstrated skill in developing front-end functionality and user interfaces using core Javascript, AJAX, CSS/HTML and other web technologies
A serious appreciation of web standards
Ability to write reusable and responsive CSS
An excellent communicator and collaborator
Great design aesthetic
