Front End Engineer

We are a Bay Area Startup looking for the following:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent study.
3-5 years of work experience.
A detail-oriented eye that is sensitive to the aesthetics of layout (CSS, XHTML) as well as front-end code (PHP 5/JavaScript) and has a keen sense of understanding for the latest UI design.
Use a keen sense of design and experience in graphic design software (Photoshop, Gimp) to build highly detailed UI solutions from mockups
Knowledge of all browser types and their various idiosyncrasies.
High proficiency with vanilla Javascript, and a working knowledge of a recent Javascript library (Angular, Knockout, Backbone)
Strong repertoire of CSS gotchas, CSS3 features, and cross-browser idiosyncrasies of both CSS and Javascript
Expert knowledge of: Object Oriented Programming (PHP, Java, C#) Javascript, jQuery or YUI, XHTML, HTML5, CSS2/3.
Proven experience in object oriented programming (PHP, Java, C#), exposure to PHP frameworks (Yii, Zend)
Comfortable working with Linux, Max OS/X and Windows.
Experience with LAMP/WAMP/LEMP stacks, comfortable in *nix environments, Java (Spring, MVC, Hibernate), PHP (Zend, Yii) or C#. AWS (Amazon Cloud Services), XML and XSLT.
Proficiency with Node.js, web services, CSS3, AJAX, MVC and ExtJS.
Exposure to project automation (Jenkins, Grunt), pre-processed CSS (SASS, LESS, autoprefixing), computer science algorithms and data structures, working with parts of HTML5 API
Experience in a “start-up” environment a big plus, think out of the box attitude, and proven ability to solve complex problems with simple and elegant solutions.
Experience working in an Agile SDLC environment good to have.
