Responsibilities
Work as a part of a rapidly growing team of innovative and creative software engineers
Responsible for front-end software development in an open source environment (PHP 5+ / MongoDB / Linux) with JavaScript, jQuery, CSS3 and HTML5
You will be responsible for our UI technical initiatives on a variety of projects in a highly collaborative team environment
Work with UI designers to translate product requirements into intuitive, functional and attractive UI mockups
Build on your existing knowledge base and quickly learn and master new open source and emerging technologies
Work closely with our ecommerce development teams as well as brand and product management, event management and our web designers to develop new, innovative, interactive experiences
for our members
Design and develop high availability transactional PHP websites with JavaScript powered interfaces
You will be involved in all aspects of the development cycle from analysis and requirement specification through design, development, testing through product / feature release
Experience
Front-end development experience with strong JavaScript skills (including frameworks/libraries such as jQuery) as well as familiarity with accepted CSS and HTML design standards
Exceptional on-line portfolio showcasing innovative web development solutions
In-depth knowledge of front-end technologies (JavaScript / jQuery / CSS / HTML)
Ability to code custom high-performance JS solutions instead of relying on existing JS frameworks
A passion for open source development and standards-based development
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Insatiable appetite for new technologies and practices
Comfortable working in a small Agile team environment
Mobile development experience a plus
Education
Degree in Computer Science/Engineering preferred
